Job Title: Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)

Location: Aster Estates, Great Bend, KS

Job Type: Part-time

Shifts: Split shift - 11:00 am to 1:30 pm and 5:00 pm to 8:30 pm

Responsibilities:

Patient Care: Provide compassionate and attentive care to residents, including assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility.
Light Housekeeping: Perform light housekeeping duties to maintain a clean and sanitary environment for residents. Tasks may include dusting, sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and laundry.
Cooking: Prepare nutritious and appetizing meals for residents, following dietary guidelines and preferences. Must enjoy cooking and have basic culinary skills.
Universal Worker: Serve as a versatile team member capable of fulfilling various roles within the facility, including caregiver, housekeeper, and cook.
Assistance with Medication: Assist with medication reminders under the supervision of licensed nursing staff, ensuring residents receive their medications as prescribed.
Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of care provided, including daily activity logs, vital signs, and any changes in residents' condition.
Communication: Collaborate effectively with other staff members, residents, and families to ensure continuity of care and promote a positive living environment.

Requirements:

Valid certification as a Nursing Assistant (CNA) in the state of Kansas.
Prior experience in a long-term care or assisted living setting preferred.
Must be mature and reliable, with a strong work ethic and a passion for serving elderly residents.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Flexibility to work a split shift schedule.
Must have basic cooking skills and enjoy preparing meals for others.
